Joy Body Pilates – Introducing Dinny!

Here we go, as the expression of The Joy Body expands. I’m so happy to announce that I will be working with Ilenia Di Nicola / Dinny in our Pilates classes in East Auckland. Our East Auckland classes have been such a joy over the past year, and I’m so happy to be holding this space for such wonderful human beings to do their work. And I’m so lucky to have Dinny along with me.

Dinny is a human being passionate in integrative creative expression for holistic wellbeing.

Former graphic designer with over a decade of experience in the artistic field, Yoga and Meditation facilitator, Pilates instructor, and lightworker using Reiki.

Her background is in Fine Arts, which she studied in Italy, and her personal journey connected her with Yoga, Meditation, and Pilates between Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. She deepened her understanding in the native art world and achieved Kāwai Raupapa Certificate in Māori and Indigenous Art. Moreover, she gained Manaaki Tāngata Certificate in Bicultural Social Services, and she is currently studying Trauma-Informed Education to become an Integrative Somatic Facilitator.

Since 2019, she co-founded the Art Yoga project in Aotearoa, which allows her to contribute to life in support of individuals and the collective community.

All these practices amplify her connection with several modalities highly focused on self-exploration and self-healing. Exploring freedom of expression to connect with oneself supports self-discovery and promotes self-empowerment.

The beautiful thing is, Dinny and I are very different teachers with a very similar focus, so by signing on with us, you get two very different, safe approaches to practices that promote mobility and strength so you can function better in this world.
