AssimINTERGRATIONilation – Tadasana

1–2 minutes

read

Tadasana, Dandasana and Balasana are the assimilation point in between work and action.  This is where the ‘worked’ part of the body finds cohesion once again with the whole.

Shavasana is the assimilation of the whole practice. The synthesis of intention and action.

The definition of Assimilation is’ to absorb’.  It is in the stillness that the effects of our actions have a chance to be absorbed into the body, this is the INTERGRATION process.  It is essential, with out it the practice can be easily lost.

*Shavasana – Corpse pose

Dandasana – Stick pose

Tadasana – Mountain pose

Balasana – Childs Pose

  1. […] My Joy Body has an article about how to do this in the physical through yoga as a practice.  Personally I adore having an embodied experience of integration, it means i don’t have to go into the ‘story’ as much and re traumatize.  That said we must be honest with ourselves and the actions the brought us to this present moment. Please ask any questions about the Yoga article.  It uses Sanskrit terms which can be easily googled to find the pose and english name equivalent. […]
